Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Club Show

Planning is already underway for the 24th annual Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Show on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13, 2009.  This will be the sixth year for the show at the Gillespie Country Fairgrounds, two miles south of Fredericksburg on State Highway 16.  The 2009 Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Club Show will be expecially noteworthy because the Club will be hosting the 2009 National Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association  Show.  

Activities will include exhibits of antique tractors and antique engines (including miniature engines and outboard motors), antique tractor parades, tractor-pulls, lawn mower/garden tractor pulls,  kiddy tractor-pulls, farm machinery demonstrations, featured operations of large engines, a blacksmith shop, vendors of agriculture-related items,  food and drink concessions, a raffle, etc.

Exhibitor Registration is scheduled for Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..  The Show will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m on Friday and Saturday.

The Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association may conduct a garden tractor pull during the 2009 show.  If so, this pull will be separate from the pull sponsored by HCAT&EC.  The LSGTPA has its own sled and its own rules.  Attendees at the show are invited to participate in the LSGTPA pull as well as the HCAT&EC pull described above; however, interested parties  should visit the LSGTPA's website at lsgtpa.com to become familiar with this organization's procedures and regulations.

Exhibitors who plan to bring engines and tractors to the 2009 show may register in advance by completing and mailing the Exhibitor Registration Form to Becky Smith at 830-990-4542 (fax), dbs@fbg.net or Box 851, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.  Exhibitors should review the EDGE&TA's Safety Rules which include provisions for stationary engines, tractors, steam engines and tractor parades.

All exhibitors, vendors, tractor pullers, workers and volunteers at the show will be required to sign The Participant Agreement
