Our Annual Heritage Show is held in conjunction with the Gillespie County Fair on the third Thursday through Saturday of August. This show provides visitors a special glimpse of the good ol’ days. Many activities such as agricultural displays, tractor displays, engine displays, antique tractor pulls, and a working blacksmith shop are open for your viewing pleasure. Our replica of a 1920’s farm house is open for viewing. Members enjoy the weekend of fellowship along with helping preserve the past with a traditional end of the harvest season celebration.
This year’s Fair will run August 24-27, 2017!
An evening “potluck” meal will take place Friday and Saturday evening for our volunteers on the Hill House front porch. If you’re interested in participating in sharing good food and great fellowship please contact SHANNON RHODES at 830.889.0345
Note: The Gillespie County Fair is the oldest, continuous county fair in Texas bringing you the best in old-fashioned fun. Throughout the year we also participate in many parades and festivals that are held throughout the Hill Country. We are always willing to help out locally with other organizations or groups that also promote our local agricultural history. Recently, members of the Club participated in the 2013 Fredericksburg Easter Fires Pageant, Pioneer Museum’s Founder’s Day, and the 2014 Night in Old Fredericksburg celebration.
