The Fifth Annual Bluebonnet Tractor Ride will be held on April 10, 2010. The ride will begin at the Willow City School and proceed approximately fifteen-miles on back roads to the Reingold School. At the Reingold School, a noon meal of BBQ pork with "all the trimmings" will be served, after which the group will drive back to the Willow City School. A Drivers' Meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. and the Tractor Ride will begin at 9:30 a.m.
To reach the Willow City School, drive north from Fredericksburg on Texas Highway 16 for 13.2 miles, turn right on FM 1323, and drive 2.7 miles. You will see the Willow City School House, a large two-story brick building, on the north side of the highway at the western edge of what's left of Willow City. The cost for the ride will be the same as last year--$30.00. This will include the ride, the meal, and a cap. A "People Mover" will be available for those who don't have tractors. The cost for riding the "People Mover" and lunch will be $15.00 per person. The cost for the meal alone will be $10.00. Early registration is recommended for seating on the "People Mover," as limited space is available. If the weather on April 10th is questionable, please contact one of the individuals named below to determine if the event will take place; if it is canceled, all registration fees will be refunded.
