The Seventh Annual Bluebonnet Tractor Ride is planned for April 14, 2012. Details will be given on this page as soon as they are available. The information for the 2011 Tractor Ride is retained below, to provide an idea of what the ride is like.

The Sixth Annual Bluebonnet Tractor Ride is scheduled for April 9, 2011, in the Doss, Texas, area. The ride will begin at the Doss Community Center, which is located at 14174 North Ranch Road 783 in Doss, Texas. Doss is located at the intersection of Highways 648 and 783, approximately 15 miles north of Harper, 23 miles northwest of Fredericksburg, and 26 miles south of Mason. Doss is a very small community, so it will not be difficult to locate the Community Center. A Drivers' Meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. and the Tractor Ride will begin at 9:00 a.m. The ride will consist of an approximately twenty-three mile drive on tarmac roads over gently-rolling terrain through rangeland and wooded areas. After a stop for a barbecue lunch, the tractors will return to the Doss Community Center. A "sag-wagon" will accompany the tractors to provide assistance in case of mechanical difficulties.

The cost for the ride will be the same as it was in 2009 and 2010--$30.00 in advance, $35.00 the day of the ride. There is a reduced cost this year for youth between the ages of 16 and 18--$15.00. These costs will include the ride, the meal, and a souvenir cap.  If friends or relatives want to participant in the ride but don't have tractors, the cost of riding on a "People Mover" and a meal will be $15.00 per person. The cost for the meal alone will be $10.00. In case the weather on April 9th is questionable, interested parties are advised to contact the individual named below to determine if the event will take place. If the ride is canceled, all registration fees will be refunded.
