The Hill Country Antique Tractor & Engine Club (HCAT&EC) is a nonprofit organization that exists to preserve and disseminate information about old agricultural machines and methods and to offer an environment in which members can get together and have fun sharing ideas and experiences. ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Workdays are scheduled for the second Thursday, the third Saturday, and the fourth Thursday--Thursday, April 12th, Saturday, April 21st, and Thursday, April 26th.  Club members will meet at the Fairgrounds between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays and about 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
  • HERCULES ENGINES and MASSEY-HARRIS TRACTORS will be featured at the 2012 ANNUAL SHOW
  • HWH Pulling Sled Inc./Tractor Pulling Texas will be conducting the Tractor Pull during the HCAT&EC 2012 Show. Detailed information about all aspects of the show is available at the 2012 ANNUAL SHOW
  • The 2012 Bluebonnet Tractor Ride was a  success. HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MAY 15TH MEETING
  • Treasurer Owen Meredith reported that the  Club has received its 2012 Hotel/Motel Tax Grant from the City of Fredericksburg.
  • Representatives from the Johnson City Tractor Club attended the meeting. They requested and were granted the use HCAT&EC's pulling sled for one or more of their 2012 tractor pulls. HCAT&EC and the Johnson City club will be working together more in the future; for example, club members will help at each others' shows..
  • All participants at the 2012 HCAT&EC Annual Show and other club events will be required to sign a Waver of Responsibility Form.
  • A Show Committee Meeting was held immediately after the regular monthly meeting.
  • Dierre Smith and Buddy Webber have painted the Cooper-Bessemer Engine. This is one of a number of activities which are being undertaken to improve the appearance of the Club's site.
  • Volunteers are needed to sell tickets and monitor activity at the Front Gate. Anyone--member or otherwise--who is willing to contribute an hour or two sitting at the Front Gate during the show is asked to contact Shannon Rhodes at 830-889-0345 (cellphone) or fbgzoo@ktc.com
  • Shannon Rhodes and Regina Weidenfeller will be the Club's Safety Officers duirng the 2012 Annual Show. However, all members are asked to monitor activities on the show grounds and to either deal with problematic situations or to refer them to the Safety Officers.
  • Cliff Ingold has repaired the carriage of  the Sawmill and is now attempting to either repair or replace the blade.
