Spring '26 Tractor Ride
April 11, 2026
Join us for the 2026 Spring Tractor Ride
in the Crabapple area of Gillespie county. We will be departing
from Crabapple School traveling the beautiful Texas Hill Country on quiet, scenic back roads stopping for lunch at the historic Pecan Grove Store for a quick showing of our beloved antique beauties and rusty iron before driving back to our starting place. To join us for lunch, you must arrive before 11:30am at Pecan Grove Store.
REGISTER by April 3rd to ensure a reservation for $50
We cap this event at 100 participants.
Registration opens at 8am. A mandatory Driver's Meeting will be held at 8:30am, outlining our safety procedures and goals for the day. We also provide a "Sag Wagon" that consists of a sturdy trailer with ramps and a wench, a skilled mechanic with various tools, and extra fuel or oil that will follow the tractors to provide assistance to those that experience problems. We realize these older machines have a mind of their own and occasionally have the will to stop working at an event as exciting as this. Antique vehicles other than tractors are welcome (i.e. automobiles, trucks, etc.). Please understand, the speed on the tractor ride will be determined by the slowest vehicle and will probably only be about 5 MPH. A noon BBQ meal will be served to all paid participants! The historic Pecan Grove Store will host us for lunch and we offer up plenty of good old-fashioned fellowship during our break. The cost of the ride will be $50.00 in advance, $60.00 the day of the ride. There is a reduced cost of $20.00 for youth participants between the ages of 16 and 19, holding a current driver’s license.
The cost for the meal alone will be $20.00.
